This is a 1950's vintage signed Whiting & Davis metallic mesh evening bag dating to the 1940's. The metallic mesh is a beautiful shiny goldtone color. It is uniform in color and appearance. Any variation in the picture is due to reflection from the camera. The frame and the chain are also goldtone metal. There is a foldover lift-tab clasp & a chain handle. The inside of the frame is stamped Whiting & Davis Co. Mesh Bags, Made in U.S.A. The inner lining of the evening bag is a golden taffeta. The purse measures; 5" x 4.5". (comes with the original mirror) *Excellent condition
