This is LARGE antique Folding Hand Fan... circa 1892The ribs are made of wood with a black finish, and the fabric is black silk on both front and back that appears to have a yellow underlay......The fabric has appliqués of black French lace: there are small circles of lace at the base of each fold, and the top has about 2.5" of lace all along. The left side of the fan has hand painted flowers in yellow and green, so the yellow lining is picked up in the yellow flowers.....It's just so beautiful..... Measures; 27" open*Very Good to Excellent condition
